African leaders taken to task

and surprise, surprise it was by a fellow African leader. I say surprise because no African leader has called out Robert Mugabe despite his blatant and crude attempts to cling to power by any means necessary. Raila Odinga chided African leaders on their failure to condemn what happened during the elections in Kenya and Zimbabwe, while true to form Thabo "Inert" Mbeki pussyfooted around Zimbabwe in his address at the World Economic Forum. What is quite telling is that observers were surprised by Raila's frank condemnation. If his actions can match his words, then maybe it won't all be doom and gloom for Kenya's bloated cabinet.
